Ya know how I said I was going to be doing remakes of old art I've made over a year ago? Well, this little drawing of Alt 2.0 is the first of those remakes~! It's based on "まるでマトリョーシカ" (MARUDE MATRYOSHKA), one of the songs sung by ALT outside of Pop'n Music - and, in fact, the only non-Pop'n Music Alt song confirmed to be sung by Alt 2.0 at that It's such a good song which even inspired my headcanon about Alt 2.0 liking to speak Russian!
The drawing features Alt 2.0's 2P palette from Pop'n Music 19, which I imagine would be the color palette used for her if the song had its crossover into Pop'n.
Two things inspired me to do this remake: the first was my sweet friend , who came across the original drawing I made and wondered why I never posted it to DA, and the second was the Loud House episode "Job Insecurity" with its title card featuring Lincoln and dad as matryoshka dolls
For those who aren't aware, a matryoshka is a Russian nesting doll (or, if you're my age, a Higglytown Hero ). The album cover of the song features matryoshka dolls designed after Alt 2.0 on it~

Hasn't my art style improved by a lot since then? I definitely think so. From the complete lack of shading and the too-skinny limbs to the much-too-small nose (Where's the honker we love~? ), I'm impressed by how much I was able to accomplish art-wise in over a year. There's no excuse for how squished her head looks and how noodly her arms are...

You may notice that the remake and the original have various differences, as well; the most obvious of which are the pose and the lack of the matryoshka display case. I changed the pose and the matryoshka dolls to be on the floor and one in her hand because I think it looks better. It's very hard to notice in the old one but she was also barefoot in it; the reason why I drew her feet bare was inspired by some stupid inside joke I had. Basically, some idiotic kid on another website made this claim that the feet of characters who tap their feet smell, so I had this joke about Alt 2.0 having smelly feet since her Miss animation features her, well, tapping her feet. So, she'd be airing out her feet by not wearing shoes... In addition, there was a line in the song about her foot getting stepped on, so I thought that maybe she'd take her shoes off to try and get rid of the pain...I was a silly little 14-year-old
I'm also proud of how I did the background this time; instead of just taking the borders from the song's jacket and coloring the background apart from them plain blue, then pasting the lyrics but Google Translated into Russian over it, I decided to actually take advantage of the clone stamp feature in an app I have and make a background out of the song's jacket~!

Speaking of the song's lyrics, I made one of my "singable English" translations for this song I'm certainly going to have Alt 2.0 sing them in VocalWriter when I get the chance!
