Horse is based slightly on the Memoirs of a Geisha movie poster. I love this portrait! I think it came out really well.

The woman depicted in this is actually a princess not a geisha. She's wearing a special hair ornament that's completely made of silver flowers and is really quite lovely when the light hits it making a glittering effect. The dance is performed in kabuki.

i use the liquify tool all the time on people, but i never thought of using it on horses. damn good idea, damn good result!
