Full body transparent commission for :devnarutojapanesefan999:
It's finally finished! it does have a simple background as well but I liked how it looked without it. But this has got to be one of the most detailed full bodies I've ever done. Unfortunately, the character is very dark so a lot of those poor details are washed out. I was a bit daunted at first because of the idea of the wings and the colour black AND the chromish effect on the fur that was required for the commission. But I'd like to think I did quite well. First time using a 2 pixel brush for the lineart as well but the lines came out looking thicker due to how small the character is on the canvas size. If that makes sense? The idea is though the character is made of pure darkness and leaks black toxins, those toxic liquids and cause the character to appear iridescent and shine. The commissioner wanted the character to appear angry and poised to strike. They requested black smoke leaking from it's mouth as it's about to unleash an attack of pure darkness. I did add it of course but you can't see it XD damn it. I think overall this artwork took me forever [see the time is took in the about the art section] and i think this is because it was quite hard to make sure everything mirrored the same. I never just flip and copy things unless it's the sketch. So the shading and everything especially on the wings was hard to get the same so it didn't look off when viewed together XD and this ended up adding to the time it took.

Haha I used a smaller lineart brush and was drawing wings. I remember it taking more time though but I couldn't remember if I had included the sketch in that time so said it took 10 hrs. The image in total took me 42 hrs and it doesn't even have a background XD after about 25hrs I did start to feel very drained and demotivated working on this piece. It was litterally the fact it was paid for that motivated most of it. It sisnt help that I had to keep relaying details back and fourth with the comissioner as well due to the unclear reference sheet I was working from. Haha I have a massive amount of patience purely from art taking me ages and like drawing each blade of grass by hand type of thing to also animating as well. Thank you <3 I get heartbroken that you can't see the beautiful lines and shading but i did add the lines to y commission prices so you can see those on their own.

I can't even imagine spending 42 hours on one thing! It's just incredible, just, wow! I noticed in the speedpaint the reference was really tricky to read, but I think you did great! I love how this came out, you did a fantastic job! It is sad that you can't see that beautiful linework, but it will live on in the speedpaint xD
Someday, I'll have to commission you again. I'll just have to save up ^^

haha it's the longest I've spent on something in a long time, to be honest. Yeah that also added to the time it took. I was constantly having to note the commissioner to confirm it was right because the reference wasn't very clear. You can even see me go back and change things to the commissioners request, such as the tail lineart and the colours inside the mouth and stuff. Awh thank you so much <3 ^^ haha yeah XD I cry a little inside. You can see it on my prices and im tempted to submit the lineart and the shading on their own just to show the level of detail i put into them. Awwh thank you
