Well, in the Halo 3 Bestiarum, there is an image of each of the Covenant homeworlds. They are low-res and mostly obscured, but they give you a general idea. We did also get a bit of description from The Cole Protocol. I knew it was a mostly arid planet, so I just kind of let my imagination take that to the final product.

I knew it was fanwork, this is really good, it looks like real sanghelios, the atmosphere would be a bit thicker and cloudier.. With a red tinge to the clouds. But anyways, this is excellent.

Well I figured "dry and arid" means "not many clouds." Plus the clouds are still water vapor, so they are still white.

I actually was wrong, the "clouds" are actually massive sand clouds the float through the atmosphere, which give the water vapor clouds a pale red color.
