Description
Eulogy of IntroversionSwallowed by the shadowed sea
Love dies as the supernova breathes
Drowned by billows of despondency
My life pulled to despair by fate's gravity
Land is in sight; yet all i see is my reflection
I fear I pine for my heart's own resurrection
Do I wash the feet of Queen Rejection?
Or do I kiss the ring of King Perfection?
I have no boat, yet I long to float..
Should I let myself sink to accomplish my thoughts?
In the eye of the tempest solitude is wrought
Anxious Death waits for the tempest's drought
Petals of memories float through my soul
The calm sea mourning completes the whole
Now only the ocean will know the terror of the cold
The eulogy of a struggle; the story is never told.
Just lived.........

Nicely written, Jeremy. From the few poems of yours I've read, you have a way with creating imagery through selective words. I like "Drowned by billows of despondency," because it reminds me of being enveloped by a blanket of emotions. "Petals of memories float through my soul" is another line that catches my attention as well.

Thanks May , by the way what did you think about/visualise when you read it?

I pictured someone or myself all alone, surrounded only by inner thoughts and emotions, and slowly being pulled by feelings. The impression of being separated from reality/life and being overcome with hopelessness seemed present in certain words, too.

yeah SS tells good stories...but Coldplay is penetrating...like soul-deep penetrating. Songs like 'Clocks' and 'Don't Panic' take me to another world *starts to dream*
Oooh! you should try Ilaria Graziano!! search her on youtube, she has amazing songs

Yeah, Coldplay make me all emotional.
I think I have a certain situation I think about for every Coldplay song
I'll search her tonight when I've got lots of time on my hands
