Yes. Lightwave is the only surface poly modeling program I ever used. Before that (way way back) I used AutoCad solid modeling. Lightwave is so much easier/more versatile than that was. Don't even get me started on the proprietary automotive industry programs I used before that in the 1990s. Ugh.
