Description
Most recently colored pencil drawing, it is a powerful scene of Native American's out on the plans. For the reference I used a shot from the amazing film Dances With Wolves.Still might play around with some skin tones or the background.

Reminds me a little of George Caitlin somewhat, a whiff. Β I like it very much. Β Hope to see more.

The guy on the left looks just like the Huron Bad guy in "Last of the Mohegan's"

That is because it is, it is Wes Studi he played both of these characters, and it is Mohicans

Thanks, yeah Wes Studi, his face is just iconic, it is as simple as that. Especially in the awesome costumes he had in this film

great job, your pencils seem very "greasy" like pastels

I use prismacolor pencils, they are wax based I believe but I do blend and layer a lot more than most, and use a lot of pressure on the pencil as well.

God this is gorgeous! Seriously man I love all of the colors. Whenever I start adding colors is when things get missed up.

Thanks, it is a lot of layering, going over something more than once or twice. But I still messed up on a few colors though but cannot be perfect

Getting over not wanting everything to be perfect is difficult. Your art looks fabulous.

Thanks, and really if I thought the art was perfect I would have no motivation to make more, so it is good I can still see errors.

I've never thought of it like that. I suppose if I was an amazing artist from the beginning it wouldn't be much fun or a challenge.
