well I havent got the guts to try out linux, because I have far to many windows based programs, and I am afraid that I cant use them.. :S

Why dont you dual boot? That way you dont have to lose your windows stuff, you just choose which OS youw ant when you turn the computer on? I do that....theres no way I could survive without windows 7 haha! Linux is so much faster though and when it comes to burning disks and file transcoding and just moving files around its sooo much faster and the software has much better support even though its free. Starts up like lightening too.

If you do want to give it a go I'm happy to tell you how to set it up and what pitfalls to avoid.

yeah sure i guess so.... ill stick it on my picasa shared for you ....... [link] you might find some more cool ones there, some really high res stuff.... after all my desktop is 3000+px across haha!

its in there now. Note some of these backgrounds were done by me but most weren't, don't reuse any of them without credit if you can find out who they belonged to Some of them have it saved in their meta-data... well mine should haha!

wow thanks. I'm doing some more soon. You should ask people who you feature to give you guides on how to do it you know. Would be a really handy site then! I know that some people can really struggle with customizing. I know i did when i started out with conky at least haha!

cheers you on Linux too? Its not too hard to achieve and once you've got the basics is super easy to personalize.
