I finally figured out how to export videos properly! This is easily the highest-quality one I've made yet.

The trick is to make sure that the timeline resolution matches the export resolution. Unfortunately I only recently found Resolve's timeline resolution settings. Basically I've been unknowingly exporting default-sized 720x480 timelines into 3840x2160 Ultra HD videos, which led to a pretty big drop in quality and sometimes even squished or stretched the exported video. Now I know how to export and it should lead to much better quality in future uploads.

With time, I might even be able to go back and redo older animations with the proper timeline resolutions, but I'll have to see how many of the files I still have lying around from making those. Some of them are long gone but others might still be fixable.
