Exercise. BLADEBOARDER BOY. Pencil/Ink/Prismacolor Markers.Here's a cyberpunk kid who rides an in-line skateboard (tech-balanced like a Segway), and carries a holographic game system with which he competes with other kids. The box projects larger-than-life creatures or meks (mechanisms) that the wielder can control in ultra-realistic combat. The selected datacard determines the holo-fighter, from mythological centaurs, to space aliens, to giant robots, or anything the user can imagine and design.
With the goggles, the wielder can see from the point of view of his holo-fighter. And the headset allows for verbal commands when not using a direct cyberlink. But it's also fun to just let the holo-fighter act independently, to see what it can do on its own. I might post some designs for holo-fighters later.
But be careful! Lose the battle, and lose your datacard!

Not at all. I'd say I'm somewhat surprised, yet amused by the coincidence. I did this as a test exercise for someone, following a rough concept that, to me, resembled Pokemon. As I present it here, I altered some of the "story" direction to a more basic and unfinished "proposal" of sorts. I have no knowledge of Megaman beyond that I think he's a little blue guy? lol But the fact that a game concept actually exists similar to what I threw out there blindly makes me feel pleased that I may have gotten something right. I feel validated.
However, there's really nothing new under the sun. Most everything is a variation of what has gone before. And sometimes a fluke happens, and you create what is already in existence elsewhere, totally by accident. So, if you're asking if I ripped off the game idea, the simple answer is No.

The idea for this is amazing. Reminds me of the arenas in Yu-Gi-Oh, but cooler
