"Un-BLOCK-able." I gotta make the puns, folks.

This illustration (in less finished form, without color) was part of a freelance assignment I did for Matli/Elliott several years ago. The other version appears elsewhere in this gallery (Miscellaneous Marketing Art Folder). In digitally adding color, I couldn't resist the allusion to The Los Angeles Lakers versus The Boston Celtics, one of the more storied rivalries in U.S. professional sports.

This piece, in particular, was "experimental" really, a test for the Lego people to see if I could handle the style in which they wished their product/characters to be portrayed. They wanted it "on-model," but also with a dynamic flair, sprinkled with a healthy dose of fun and humor. They liked it, and so, nothing was rotten in Denmark. LOL!

Real bricks, those Danes. Heh.
