This photo could be so much better, it is really noisy and grainy.

I agree with you. I was in a low light situation and had my ISO way up high (3200). I am new at this and appreciate your comments. Live and learn. Thank you.

Beautiful shot....the background colour enhances this wonderfully. Was this part of the capture or a result of editing later? It takes alot of patience to get a shot like this...have tried with my birds....)) I very much appreciate your comments...thankyou.

You're welcome. The red background color comes from Geranium blooms growing along my fence. I was using a 200mm lens so the background came out very blurred. I was about 6 to 8 feet away from the hummingbird, the flowers are maybe 20 feet away. I do very little editing with my nature shots, usually what you see is what you get.

Thankyou for the info. I agree, the art in photography is to get the shot in the first place. Do very little editing myself....))

It has served me well. I just got a new Nikon D3000, but will still use my Sony for certain special shots.

This and the other hummingbird shots are really nice! I love the red color in the background!! Great series of photos! My parents keep asking me to come over and take some pics of hummingbirds in there back yard--these pics just inspired me to try!! Well Done!

Thank you very much! The red background came from geraniums behind the hummingbird feeder. I like the way they came out too.

Absolutely fabulous capture, focus and framing! I've tried to shoot these little buggers and I just don't think my old camera is up to it, so I'm horribly jealous! Great job.
