Description
This was on my monitor on the documentary. I was conceptualizing scrooge for about a month, I thought I share one of the many pages of my character design concepts.Related content

I love getting to see stuff like this. The development history for DuckTales: Remastered is so rich and it's clear you put so much hard work and effort into the design process for all of the characters. When I watched the Duckumentary bits, I was intrigued by the concept art on the screens, and i'm really glad I can see them now and in detail. RemasteredΒ really is one of my favorite games.

I would love to see more of the concept work! I'm really fascinated with how you blended the styles and really found that medium between the show and the comics, as well as how you took on redesigning from the sprites! Anything you could post that'd show more of the process, i'd really adore seeing!

I'm seriously amazed by just how thorough and in-depth the design work was for the game, even just on Scrooge here. Starting from just rough outlines of the original NES game sprites, and a whole month of creating this perfect harmony between the proportions and styling of the sprite and the original TV show. The final one just really hits that sweet spot in an indescribable manner, never faltering across all of it's animations and feeling like a believable modern-day episode in the TV show.
Seriously, it's an inspiration being able to see design processes like this. Just wish I had that kind of level of patience and overall ability, haha.

Thank you so much, I am so happy you are enjoying all the hard work that went in designing the sprites. Ill make sure to post more Scrooge art, I have a ton of pencil drawing I did of him. Studying the animation of the first season of DuckTales was such a joy. I would watch 4 episodes a day, stop framing the animation so I can in grain the animation sensibility. My goal as a supervising animator was to make sure that our audience felt the old TV crew did the animation. So again than you so much for the compliment.
