THANKS FOR THE DD!! YOU GUYS ARE ALL AWESOME! Literature Gallery: Chapters and Annotation Assignment
A brief sketch for an idea I had not long ago for the lit community.
I didn't go into anything on the submission side. More or less this is the presentation side one would see as they click on a Lit deviation.
I'm sure most of you don't know that I actually came to deviantART as a writer. It took a few years before I fell into what I'm doing here, now.
I've been meaning to re-upload some of my older work, and it occurred to me as I thought about doing so how entirely in need of help that whole process really is.
I hope this one is actually considered seriously. It could really improve our Lit system by leaps and bounds... and make it FUN to read again!!!
As always, I'd love to hear your thoughts!

This would definitely make reading literature more appealing for deviants. Even with me being a writer I'm not typically thrilled about reading deviations as they are currently. It can get really confusing and complex to try breaking down the thoughts you have on a piece in a way that the writer can understand what you mean. This concept would certainly reduce that dilemma.

great idea! to be honest i don't read anything online with chapters.. just short stories. i'm still quite into my tree based paper for chapters. But i agree with the seperate chapter submissions being an assault. Hope this gets considered! (how do we get the admins to notice it? just note the gallery directors?)x

I think it would work great for even people who write different suites of poems. In the case of short stories, one could even use the 'chapter' function just to break up the length.
Honestly, I think the best way for the administration to notice it is to have it be be right here where it is. However, getting your friends to come to look at it, fave it, and leave a comment on not only it's usefulness, but the need for it would probably make the largest difference. Of course, you're more than welcome to do whatever you think will work best.

I absolutely love this idea! Sheer genius!
It has always annoyed me, when reading a story with chapters that you have to go all the way back to their gallery and search through to find the next chapter. Unless, of course, they are linked in the comments, but that is a hassle for the artist.
Also, the annotation is an excellent addition
