Description "Enraged at the actions of the gods, the Altamara rose up and, with all the savagery of animals, tore down the heavens."

Let's get this straight. I DON'T think my Altamaran Empire are evil at all,
but I have a friend who does... He's probably traumatized because they killed his civilization on Spore, and because he watches too much Star Wars >:3

That said, this wallpaper is dedicated to looking at the Altamara from the other way around. They can be seen as very evil if you happen to be on the receiving end of their wrath...

This is a widescreen wallpaper, but because I know that's an uncommon size, all the details are within the normal screen size area, so the image is adaptable.

Would you believe I made eight versions of this? I eventually decided on the sixth version.

Lots of errors and roughness to this piece I know, But i like it.
Believe it or not, there's actually what I think is a saving error on here.
you see that nick on the Emperor's leg? That wasn't on the previous versions...

That sword is epic.

The quote above is an abstract description of a piece of Altamaran history.
There's no symbolism, biblicism or demons in this pic.
It's all purely for aesthetics.

I am actually wondering if you could give me a link to your Spore page with the Altamarans. Wonderful work btw.

a force as powerfull as the altamerans would be demonified by the civilizations they destroyed, this pic is really emotive, really really well done, i don't even know where to start.
it has movement and atmosphere, it does remind me heavily of Starcraft though

starcraft?

That's a point, there's likely to be lots of hearsay surrounding the empire floating about the Andromeda galaxy, because any pieces of Altamaran history they did catch snatches of would be bound to be warped into myths.

thanks ^_^

when someone uses a reference your unfamiliar with why dont' you do what the rest of us do and Wikipedia it XD

I have a character idea for a scholar who is researching the existence of the altamaran empire, Kinda elaborating the idea that their history would reach further then their actually influence

That looks so epic its amazing.

I thought at first that you meant that the god's were doing something wrong, and the Altamarians were defending (attacking) in righteous anger.

@.@ Its still cool :3

well, that's exactly what they are doing. Except the idea of the gods ect is a bit more theoretical.. I'd tell you exactly what it meant, but then I'd be telling you why the Altamaran Empire EXISTS.

I'm glad you like it so much

*sob* no moar info?

So, they exist tooo bring justice to something? To rebel against something? Or is that just how they started?

Cool, always good to see things from the other side. Oh and a rather freaky coincidence I noticed. The file size of this pic is exactly 666KB. Fitting, given the nature of the picture.

...But it's really not symbolic. I know Haru looks like some kind of incarnation of Lucifer, but that really wasn't my intention XD

that said... 666

Gotta look at it from all angles to give a story depth ^_^

I know, I know, I just wanted to point that out . Also, after looking at him some more I really like the way you've drawn him here. I think it's the way he's all lit up and pale looking.

it actually looks much better in it's original size... the sword really looks like it's glowing (to me, anyway ^_^)

even though I said no symbolism, I could write an essay on why Sakuharu is depicted in white and his people in black, even though he could be considered from the outside to be the most evil of all. But mainly it was because the contrast looked great XD
