It was about time I made a new reference sheet for the Altamaran Empire. I like this one about as much as the last one (note: not very much) but the art on the old one was getting downright embarrassing! XDthought I'd try a pre-made template this time, so I'm using 's species template: [link]
also my god. So much text. Text for miles.
Anyone who reads all that deserves a medal.
I was planning on putting a veritable bastion of extra information in this section but I think we've all seen enough writing for.. a few days XD so I'll just say that if there's anything you want to know that I've missed or not been specific enough on, by all means ask me and I'm sure to reply.

I like how these species are described as descendants of arthopods, but resemble felines instead X)
Also curious by their clothes, if they have additional breathing holes in their sides, would it make sense to not obstruct them with cloth?
Did you, by any chance, have original of that template? Seems like author of the original didn't feel like reuploading it to his new account.

obviously, if it was for something you wanted to make money from then that would be a problem, but if you just want an oc to draw and write and do other fun stuff with then that's perfectly fine!
You'll have to show me once you've finished designing them though! I love seeing what people come up with X3

and yep, that's totally fine! It's simply a generalisation that females are taller.. they usually are, but not always. I actually have a female character that is shorter than their male partner. So it's not a problem :3

Ooh, I read it all! That was fascinating. They really are an interesting race! I still really like how you made them different from humans, I just see so many aliens races that are too similar to humans, while yours are more like insects. I also was surprised that females are a lot lower in number than males.

probably the same thing to a lesser extent XD
then again, that's also true for human males XDDDD
hehe but I guess in terms of a serious answer, altamarans put on fat predominantly on the chest, hips and thighs. Females are genetically more predisposed to storing fat on their body, but if a male were to put on a lot of weight, I think they'd just end up with a very feminine figure, rather than outright grow breasts.

In all seriousness though, this is some of the most impressive world-building I've seen in a helluva long time. I swear, I adore the Altamara more and more every time I learn a little extra about them.

Oh man this is awesome. I am a big indie scifi fan. I am really interested in seeing more of your work. Would be amazing to see this as a video of some sorts or a video that would be cool. Reminds me a little of phantasy star, but only the ears, obviously yours is completely different. Anyways, well done, I really like this.

and yeah, it would be damn cool if I could make a comic or animation about these guys one day. That is my eventual plan<3
