Description My very first set of pay to use base-work! Contains:

MSPAINT FRIENDLY binary versions of all of the bases on individual black and white 600x600 .pngs, for people working in ms-paint or similar to reduce the need for cut and pasting or rough edges, ect.

Smooth lineart versions on one larger .png file! For Photoshop or similar users, or just anyone who doesn't like to work with pixel art. Originally made to test a vector plugin, it came out clean enough that I figured I would share it too along with the binary. c:

BONUS! Gatcha pods in three shapes (spherical, egg, oval) in open and closed poses, binary/pixel and smooth versions.

Rules:

Once bought, feel free to use the lines for your own deviantart adoptables/ect work, or for if you just needed some gatcha lineart.
You can use the lineart commercially (earning points/money) for things like gatcha adopts, but you cannot specifically sell the original base lineart. You have to be giving cutomers your own work!
 Please credit me when used
 Please don't remove the 'base by' text on the images
 Alterning the base slightly and re-selling it is not allowed. The only exception to this is when drawing adopts in the open gatcha pods!

Send points/Purchase via the purchase button on the right! If you have any questions, feel free to ask. c:

Perhaps you'd rather get a slot machine instead?

Or maybe something spooky/halloween themed!

Ive purchased and unzipped the files
the files will not open in sai and will not even open in my laptops picture viewing programs
may I please get the pngs sent via note, if not I'd like to request a refund,,,

Jesseth In reply to CITYCR0WZ [2018-10-30 22:59:01 +0000 UTC]

that sounds to me like they're not actually unzipped! While a folder is still zipped it's completely possible to go into it like normal and do things like try to put the files into programs, but they won't actually open. I'm not sure of this, but since deviant art does make a zip file of what it placed into the purchased content section, it may technically be a zipfile of a zipfile, so you might have one more unzipping to go!

I've tested the folders myself with no issue, and had someone else download and test them too and not find any problems with it. (We've tested both mac and pc)

I don't use sai myself, but they should just be regular old .png files like any others you would find online, and should work just fine in sai! What does the problem seem to be? :0

SoffPigeon In reply to Jesseth [2018-06-10 03:47:55 +0000 UTC]

yeah it seems literally nothing on my computer supports those files

Jesseth In reply to SoffPigeon [2018-06-11 23:50:23 +0000 UTC]

To double check it, I've re-downloaded it myself, tested them and they work. Not only that but gotten someone else to download them and open them in front of me on multiple programs, with both Mac and Pc. There is nothing wrong to be found with these files!

The only things I can suggest are that you redownload the pack in case your computer had problems unzipping the folders, and that if you are on a pc, you may see a folder labelled 'Mac' which is not the correct folder (sometimes pcs create these folders when downloading files created by Macs), the correct folder will be labelled as 'p2u gatcha by jesseth'.

After messing with it a bit, I finally got it to work, sorry for putting you through all that trouble.

They don't show up when I try to open them via SAI, or when I open them to view as regular images

Hello! I purchased this a while ago and was in the mood to start trying to use it, but I'm not really fond of the mspaint friendly version, or the photoshop versions;
What I mean is that the smooth versions are kinda funky around the edges of the pods and stuff, I'd end up editing them down and changing the lineart.

I want to use it because I like the look of it, especially when I saw the 7 Species Gatcha machine and how it looked.

I wanted to make sure it's ok that I trace over the base-- to fit it to my style/lineart brush, as long as I still write "Base by Jesseth.deviantart.com"
underneath the machine? I'm not in the market of reselling bases or anything, if you're worried about it, I hope you understand where I'm coming from.

And should I write the same underneath the bases of the pods? Or is that not necessary as long as I give credit/link back to the base page? I'd make sure
credit is in every post that involves this base, for sure, that's not a problem with me.

I can verify that I've purchased it, as I have the original files (I just forgot to mention here that I had purchased it, I'm sorry, I haven't even used it yet OTL
I've never done a gatcha before and I wanted to start with one of the bases here because they're really cool)

I just wanted to make sure of all this with you before I went and started the process of "tracing" the base for personal use, so that it looks right with my art style.
I don't want there to be any confusion, and I don't want to cause any trouble, it's just that even if I didn't go over the lines with my own brushes, I would end up
editing bits and pieces of the lineart anyhow, and I would like to make sure that I'd have the permission to, or not > w > ;;

I'll be honest that I'll probably use the base a couple times too, so I would have something I can re-use once I start to work on it. But I wanted to ask you, because I
do the same for others who post adopt bases-- I don't want to misuse what I've bought if I don't have permission to change how the lines look. It's for personal use only
to make adopts that I will sell-- those I'm drawing myself or in collaborations.

I think that would be just fine as long as the credit (the base by jesseth bit) is there! You've bought it, so if you want to tweak it to your personal needs, go nuts<3

btw what art program are you using? If it's photoshop or something that has layer types, try setting the lineart layer to 'multiply', and if there's any lighter grey to the smooth lineart, it should completely dissappear when you start colouring it. Let me know if that helps!

heartof-theforest In reply to Jesseth [2017-07-23 20:44:36 +0000 UTC]

I use paint tool sai and I kind of have an issue with lineart being a certain way before I color it, eheh

It also has to do with the way that I color things, as I use a brown-ish red color that when used on
multiply, sort've changes color with the flat colors, as if I've colored the lineart as I go? I do wish I
had photoshop though, it'd probably make some of my art a lot less tedious sometimes > w > ;;

I will make sure to include the credit on the image still, and anywhere necessary~ Thank you so much!!

Oh, if you want photoshop, cs2 was released for free officially a while back. I always keep a link to this on hand just in case it's useful to people: www.techspot.com/downloads/368…
I use cs6 just purely out of preference, but cs2 is a perfectly decent piece of software that does most of what cs6 does! (only thing I can't remember is how animating works in it but if you're not worried about that then pff)

heartof-theforest In reply to Jesseth [2017-07-28 14:25:28 +0000 UTC]

Ahh CS6 is the one I was working with before when I had photoshop;
but anything is good if it's just the basics, I also want to work on
calligraphy digitally, and I found a different program, but I know for
a fact Photoshop has a flat-angle brush with a pressure difference that
would make what I write actually LOOK like calligraphy.

Thank you so much!! This helps me a lot~
