don't get me wrong, I think I like your reworks better than the original... but yeah... I forgot my point!

Nope, I'm doing a lot of redos because there are some pieces in my gallery that I felt I could have done better on, or that needed more work. So I'm repairing them before I send them off to conventions.
I wouldn't want to sell less than my best work. I don't actually redo the entire piece, but I take my "finished" work from before, and do more work on it, until I am satsified.
I've got several commissions that are taking my time, plus a few conventions to prepare for. Once I'm done with those, I'll be back to putting up completely new works *grin*

and yeah, I can understand that. I used to try to rework some of my older stuff... but I somehow end up messing it up even worse... so I just leave it be and call it a loss. and I'm too chicken to put up any of my stuff for display or sale (DA doesn't really count... not many people who watch the genre I draw in are really that picky, or critical, and sometimes over zealous... proof: the abundent number of fanart today favorites... or am I the only one noticing that? sorry... tangent).
