When I come back, I'll do an actual tutorial on skin tones in colored pencils. Till then, uh.. here's a step by step of a drawing I did a few weeks ago. Not much help here tutorial speaking, sadly.

Having put together 'how tos' myself, I know how time consuming giving step-by-step instructions can be and can't thank you enough for taking the time to do this!
This step by step progression of one of your drawings is incredibly illuminating (especially to someone like me who is still trying to learn how to color drawings in 'real life'

aahaha my whole problem is trying to stop and remind myself to scan each step. I usually get carried away and get about fifty steps into what I'm doing before I remember I'm supposed to be keeping a record of it. One of these days I need to get a proper way of recording it so people can watch it live or something.

Believe me, I do the same thing! When you're into something like that you get into a kind of trance state and by the time you 'wake up' you realize its almost done! Which is why I so appreciate what you're doing -- its difficult for you but soooooooo helpful!
