Wonderful! The Firelizard (tiny Dragon) at her feet reminds me of some Anne McCaffery Novel art by an artist I have tried to track down for ages. It is wonderful to see that style recreated, it is by far my favorite style. Look them up, Dragon song and Dragon Singer, they are older covers very hard to find but well worth the time... The artist is from a country in Europe I believe... I wish I could past it 4 U.. Might be able to load it on my page...

Yep I know her books, but I gotta be honest, the only artists I can think of who've done art for her covers are whelan and rowena? And both are painfully easy to find?

Elizabeth Malczynski, I know I would find it eventually! her work is very hard to find unfortunately, here is a link to some mini's of the covers for Dragonsong and Dragonsinger. [link] They are the late 1970's covers.

this is gorgeous, very well exicuted! I love the texture that th color pencil brings it, it definitely would not have been as effective had it been digitally colored or something like that, it would have lost alot of it's life. So, great job! ^___^

The wings are magnificent. Every feather is detailed and shaded appropriately and the deep, rich brown of the wings themselves draw a very nice span of attention to them- which they rightly deserve.
I like the light brown for a background as well, and the ornaments that lightly decorate the wings without subtracting from them My only concern is how the wings end prematurely with the frame. Such lovely things. <3
