Durp durp durp...Reference sheet for a character only known as "Frog" right now. He's a new charrie, so there's a good chance he's gonna change a million times.
Maybe I'll end up with a less generic color scheme eventually. Frog is the only OC I'm using in AATR. He's quiet, pleasant, and generally not opposed to much... until serious trouble starts. When trouble starts, he generally goes through four stages: confused, evasive, defensive, then (finally) PO'd. A pissed-off frog is hard to get, but he's not something to trifle with.
Frog uses his large magic scarf to protect his delicate neck as well as to hide various items. He often has a small store of food in there, a few magic capsules holding his personal affects (including his huge halberd-like weapon), and occasionally truly surprising items... even some I don't know of. In a pinch, the scarf is also a secondary weapon.

I seriously started to work on one earlyer, but I don't got anything on the original.
(Basically I resided him, and recolored him to increase quality, though the outline is the exact same as the original.) [link]
The animation is a bit weak... I want to make his scarf move, but I couldn't do it with style. =/

Now that is an unusual choice for a character.
Even though frog was used in multiple venues, so far I have never stumbled upon a design that would resemble others within this particular species. This character design sheet looks impressive!

I love how long and simple his limbs are... I think I'd suggest squishing his torso down a bit more. XD; or making it wider... he's kinda stick figure like right now, but that can actually be really cool if you work it right. friggin cute eyes.

Thanks, yeah his proportions are... pretty generic right now. I have this problem that the more "main character" I feel about someone, the more I go towards generic proportions. :/ Will play in the future.

Yeah I think the general genericness of main characters is typical because then they are also generally more likable or something? I feel we talked about this when watching Mulan at some point...
