"Depersonalization disorder (DPD) is a dissociative disorder in which the sufferer is affected by persistent or recurrent feelings of depersonalization and/or derealization. The symptoms include a sense of automation, going through the motions of life but not experiencing it, feeling as though one is in a movie, feeling as though one is in a dream, feeling a disconnection from one's body; out-of-body experience, a detachment from one's body, environment and difficulty relating oneself to reality." This is a really interesting piece... Does anyone else get a feeling of a modern Edgar Allen Poe? I do... I love the splatter treatment you've done. I personally haven't seen anything quite like it

Hehe, thank you, I usualy don't like the splatter photomanipulations that are everywhere today, but this was done as an experiment.

Oh my god... I saw the title and I've hallucinated! I've had so much moments of depersonalization (in my case, caused by excessive anxiety) and is the second most unpleasant I've experienced. I didn't think it was as usual... partly feel a great relief, I couldn't better describe the feeling.
By the way, very good work! I think the best I've seen on dA for my part

It's curious that I read that you get bored with the depersonalization. I hate it with all my being, causing me extreme terror. I suppose there are people who experience something different depending on who he is.

About it being boring, from some perspective it is becouse you don't really feel anything. I'm not scared of it, becouse that would need the ivolvment of feelings. But boring wouldn't be the right term either. It's a sort of apathy I guess. If you don't feel like your body belongs to you, you tend to get careless with it.

I understand. In my case, the only thing I know is that feeling doesn't like me, nothing.. very unpleasant. At the beginning I don't understand what I was feeling, that caused terror in me, the lack of control and feelings in my body and mind. But now I'm better with it, and yes, now I get careless
I'm glad to have spoken with u, is comforting to believe not be the only one..
