Description
This was the final piece for a 4 week project for my Foundation Art and design course. In total it took two and a half weeks to complete. had i been a more productive worker i coulda cut that down a fair bit- but there was a lot of xbox peppered through this illustration schedule! Week 1 was spent making a model of the city in sketchup, whereby I choose this image from a selection of camera angles to paint up. Then i painted the sky using basic round brushes and the smudge tool, using a photograph off google images as a reference After that was the long part- painting the buildings (the windows were added by stamping a custom brush over and over)

I'm really proud of this piece actually. I was originally aiming to make something photorealistic, but it ended up very cartoony.
