Description
This is a scene from Narnia: The Silver Chair by C.S. Lewis. Jill and Eustace enter Narnia and shortly thereafter, they discover a cliff. Jill shows off to Eustace how close she can get to the edge, and he tries to pull her away. Eustace ends up falling over the edge. A huge lion bounds up and blows him safely away on his breath.Jill seeks out the lion and finds out that he is the mightly Aslan, king of Narnia. Aslan tells her that he has a task for her and gives her a list of signs to remember.
In this illustration, Aslan is having Jill repeat the signs to him before he sends her over the edge to reunite with Eustace and begin on their task to find the lost prince of Narnia. This is my second favorite book of the series, The Voyage of the Dawn Treader being my favorite.

Wow.... truly magnificent. Aslan radiates with gentleness, just as expected and Jill's anatomy and expression are great as well, relatable if you will. And the colours and the hair and mane... gorgeous!

Oh, my favorite is the Last Battle. I love one big happy reunion where all the characters appear at the end. ^^ Just gives me a good feeling every time I read it. But I love SC mainly because of Puddleglum! =3
