Description
Round up the JewsTo burn in their masses,
Poison them all
With the noxious gases.
Herd in the flock
Like lambs to the slaughter,
Spare non their lives
Not mother, not daughter.
Roll on the production line,
Make no waste.
Cut hair, take glasses,
Process them with haste,
Weave cloth from their braids,
Melt down all the metal.
For an inferior race,
We will not settle.
‘Arbeit Macht Frei’
Works makes you free.
Now they're lining the chambers
With Zyklon B.
No use anymore,
Too old, too weak.
But of their deaths
We do not speak.
For millions were murdered
For one simple reason-
To Hitler it felt
They were committing Treason.
Weren’t right for his country,
Would not stand by his side.
This was his reason
For such genocide.

Its quite... blunt, but i guess thats a good thing cos using euphemisms or writing it in a more subtle way might play down the actual event. You dont realy need to say "this doesnt reflect my views", because the poem doesnt portray for support the event, its quite the contrary.

I know that it ends showing that i don't support it but some people might just read the beginning dislike it and think I'm racist or something. I just wanted to make sure i guess.
I know it's blunt but I really couldn't think of another way to put it. We had a talk from a holocaust survivor at college and it just made me think that the brutality needs to be shown and not played down the way it sometimes is. I hope you found this ok- if not I could try and rewrite it a little if you think it can be improved.

You're welcome. Your poetry is lovely and honest. We have a new head of English, Mr Brown (he's been here a year now) and I walked past his room today. Y'know they have those display thingys on the walls? Well, inside one of them was a selection of comments made on some poems from the AQA Anthology and one of them was yours! The only poem name I remember was the "Hitcher", I didn't have much time to look. Anyway, thought I'd tell you. What you wrote was really good!
Whenever I submit anything to dA I always end up having to edit it a few times!
