Appearance and Physical Characteristics: For being a Sooty owl she is unusual pale, probably due to her being a Nyrolian owl. She has a lot of white spots on her wings and back like most Sooty's but her eyes is what catches most owls attention, being almost gold in color.

Personality: She keeps mostly to herself but is a really social bird once you get to know her. She uses humor and irony as a defense and weapon due to her not usually having to deal with social or physical situations. She's not the best warrior in the Order but no one questions her determination and flying skills.

Pre-Group History: A few years before the events (The Golden Tree) when Nyra started to plot another take-over of the Ga'hoole Tree, Terra's parents and a few others split from the Pure ones. This was more common than most would think since most owls do not wish to spend their entire life fighting and more recently... loosing. They settled down in Shadow Forest with a few other "deserters" living close by, forming a tight clan of individuals. They always keep't and eye on Nyra still since she tried again and again to convince them and other to join her once more. This didn't end up happening for any of the owls in Shadow forest, partly due to Terra's father and a few other strong individuals constantly guarding their territories and reminding the clan of why they should stay clear of the Pure ones. This on the other hand didn't mean they themselves were not planing anything, both Terra's mother and a clan elder had much knowledge of old magic and stories of great power from fire, stars and the moon. And so they planed that the first egg Minerva had would be their "Sacred orb" and that hatchling would be a Nyrolian owl and the future clan leader.

On the night of the hatching, there were two eggs, one had the markings of a leader. The clan elder had examined both eggs and they were both healthy, tho the younger hatchling and second egg to be laid was a bit smaller, as expected. When the time came and the moon was high that day was plunged into darkness and the larger egg started to move. Only Minerva and the elder were present since Barron was out guarding. Suddenly the smaller egg started the hatch too, and in the end, to her mother's horror, Terra's egg hatched first and so she got the destiny and power for great good or evil.

This is where she got her name, since her mother were fond of the heavens she would have named her children after the stars. But due to Terra unintentionally "stealing" her brothers destiny her mother gave her a name to be ashamed of, something as far from the heavens as possible.

Terra and Sirius still grew up together, he never really showed much spite for his sister due to him being raised heavily by his father and mother and with the mentality of "practice makes perfect" meaning he relies much more on earned power than gifted. Meanwhile Terra was raised mostly by her mother and the clan elder that helped with the hatching, she grew up with the knowledge of stars and how to navigate and soon became a great flier. And the clan elder who had become something more close to family often told her about the Guardians and their ruthless tactics and never ending hunt for those not willing to surrender to their views.

The seasons came and went and Sirius grew up to be the clans strongest warrior and Terra being the leader relied heavily on him to convince the others to follow her in a great siege. An attack for the thing that would earn them all a place in history and a prize not even the great Nyra could take, the Great tree of Ga'Hoole.
