your can drypoint any surface with acids, on metals it creates a bur. You can put zinc in nitric acid. Does your studio have a webpage, sounds printeresting?

We use a different type of acid, though I don't remember what it's called at this exact moment, which is silly cause I've been there for the last 3 hours editioning. We don't have a studio page specifically, but I go to Pratt MWP and the website for our school is mwpai.edu

really reminds me of Kate Winslet, in Titanic. When she's floating on that raft/wooden thing.

How exactly does "etching into zinc" work? Does it require like a tablet of rock and a chisel or something? Because oddly enough, it almost looks like a watercolor. Aside from my questions, though- looks nice.

thanks I use a zinc plate, that is etched into with nitric acid. There is other processes involved at creating the variety of marks as well.

I love the intense detailing in the etching. The blues also work really well with the mood conveyed. Well done! [:

I love the way you use light blue to show the silence and the sadness (maybe not, just the way I am feeling). Just personal opinion but I do not like the tongue very much. I think if her mouth is closed that would be moreβ¦β¦,I do not know, never mind.
Thanks for sharing.

Thanks Your right about the mouth, I'll etch it again and change a lot of things, and have a few mistakes on the way; to help emulate that feeling.
