Again with references. I like how this turned out. Even though there is no shading it still works somehow.I feel like I have improved so much since the beginning. I'm not limiting myself so much and I'm working hard on as much as possible. I don't have a teacher that is willing to show me these thing because any kind of formal training I've had is always traditional and more of a 'do this and get and A' kind of thing. It's never been 'Improve your skill' or 'Add more this/that because it looks good'. It's always just 'add this because it sounds cooler' or 'do that, explain it and get a good grade even if it looks bad'.
I'm not complaining. In fact, because people see me at a too high skill level to truly critique at my age and level so far [feel free to change that], I feel like my art does have some value. I'm only saying that I'm trying to do the best I can with what I have.

I wish I could draw cuts but all I end up doing is just putting red lines everywhere :')

I would suggest looking them up but they are pretty grim so don't if you have a weak stomach. They work like opening a book however deep the cut is. If the cut is deep then the skin pulls it either direction and raises because of vasodilation [which is when your blood vessels dilate, decreasing blood pressure, but also pushing skin up and away] in turn creating a raised mountain with and inverted triangle in the center. Thanks, it's just that I have a character who's throat is slit and I've been struggling to draw it so it looks deep
