Description
Recently, most areas in the upper area of the Philippines were destroyed by the tropical storm / typhoon Ondoy last Septemeber 26. 2009. Most houses were destroyed and many were displaced. Floods on some areas reached more than 10 ft, even reaching 2nd floors of houses. Just to survive the raging floods, people went up their roofs and even slept there for almost 2 days without food! Bays, rivers, and others overflowed as it was one cause of people drowning. The downpour of the storm (in 1 day) was equal to a month's worth of rains! So just imagine how flooded the Metro was.
If you have the time, pls do read the news in here: [link]
Update: Almost 300 have died, and more than 2 million were displaced. As estimated, more than 1.5 Billion Pesos of infrastructures were destroyed during this disaster.
Please do help us in praying for everyone in our country. Stay safe everyone!

Very touching.
There's so much pain in the world and it always come upon to people who don't deserve it. (well, nobody deserves things like that..)

Fortunately, we weren't affected.
Our car (where I was stranded on), luckily, was big enough kaya hanggang flooring lang ung water, so it wasn't affected as well, thank God.

*shviers*
For me, Ondoy is still synonymous with hardship and loss.
The Pasig area got hit hard.
The roads became canals of dirty water,
and it took a few days for the water to recede.
God, hope we never have to suffer a repeat any time soon.
