Description
ControlsArrow Keys: Move
Space: Change colour of the characters
You control multiple players in the game. Your aim is to merge all your players into one. Merging happens when two players stand in the exact same position, and causes a splodey effect, so you should be able to see it. When you've merged all the players, the background changes colour.
Most of the people jumping around are AIs, which you don't control. They're just distractions - they cannot merge with you or each other. They look exactly like you though, so it makes it hard to figure out who you're controlling.
The edges loop, so if a character falls off the screen they'll appear at the top.
Inspired by my random level generator . I wanted to make something where you could jump around and play on those types of levels. So I programmed this! When doing that I thought it might be interesting to have the ground change as time passes, which is something that's fairly easy to do with perlin noise and flash. So I did that. I also added the little merging thing as a fun little game.
I used a lot of the code from Generic Adventure Game . Check it out if you haven't!
It's fun to just watch the AIs jump around as the ground changes...
This would be pretty fun in a multiplayer game, if the ground was constantly changing beneath your feet

This is the most original game I've seen in years; it's awesome!! 8>
(Although I won't play it if I already have a migraine XD )

BEAT IT FINALLY!
I literally had 2 of me left, and every time one fell off, I had to search all over again!
But eventually, I managed to get the screen change, and I practically had a mental party!
This is INTENSE multitasking! First, you have to FIND your character, second, you have to CONTROL it, third, you have to MERGE all your characters, fourth, you have to ignore the CPU characters, and fifth, you have to keep an eye on and use the changing STAGE! This is really simple, yet extremely difficult! Wow!

How many mes there were? Beat it sooner than I expected - and fortunately before I started to lose hope.

about 50% of the people on the screen are you-s, but it's a little random each time

*Me at several points in the game* WHERE AM I?!
Lol, but on a serious note, this is a pretty cool game (aside from not being able to find your guys for minutes at a time, haha.) So fun to watch the A.I. players run around endlessly after you've won.

It's quite complicated I can't seem to get it to work correctly though all of my keys are working fine! ><

Make sure that you click on the game first, so that it's in focus. Also, it might be hard to tell if it's working seeing as you don't control most of the characters.

Intriguing! I'm having a lot of difficulty playing this atm (my right arrow key sporadically stops working, and I can't seem to jump for some reason) but I like the concept of this. Nice work!

Hm, that's weird. Possibly a hardware issue?

Using cellular automata to generate a tilemap for a platformer?
That's... oddly enough something I haven't seen before
Really interesting concept, hope to see more of this stuff

This isn't really a cellular automata, it uses Perlin noise at a really low resolution. But yeah, I think it could be interesting!

Yep! Another idea is to jump without moving. As all the computer players always move, your characters will be the only ones jumping vertically

about as fun to watch as when i first got some African dwarf frogs. assigning roles and persaonities to each one even thought they ALL looked kind of the same. haha.
cool stuff cool stuff.
brilliantly simple test thing with lots of potential to use in the gaming world.
if i hear back from you before i forget...i have some game ideas compleately inspired from this!
