Description
Two Packrats in Clan Vohr colours fire on fleeing enemies. These fast offroad vehicles see much use in desert warfare where mobility is paramount.
Design Features:
- Most Packrats use diesel engines which run on shale oil or organic distillates. Bodywork is lightened to increase speed, range and economy. This Packrat has a cut-down cab taken from a vintage sports car. The seats are bolted to the floor, steel pins secure the doors and a tarpaulin covers bullet holes. A grille protects the radiator but no engine cowl is fitted and rear seats are ignored in favour of an open tray.
- Larger, lower pressure tyres and a raised suspension improve offroad mobility. The paired rear wheels help spread weight and aid traction on bad ground.
- The Packratβs main armament is fixed to a rollbar behind the cab, though some mount guns on a separate post, giving a standing operator a 360-degree fire arc. The vehicle in the foreground has a 12.7mm machine gun and antique TOW system. The one in the background has an extra gun on a rear mount. Clashes between such vehicles can seem more like chariot battles than the armoured warfare of another vanished age.
- Further roles include light transport, scouting, flanking and pursuit. Commanders who like to stay close to the action but avoid direct engagement often prefer Packrats to more conspicuous machines.

glad there's some love for the rat rod, it would be cool for there to be an old school big rig (like a 1940's style one) with a bunch of weapons long and medium range on it. like a big brother to this, maybe call it killdozer

Ahh, gotta love them vehicles
Ratrod, I am liking this ^^
That exhaust pipe looks odd in that position, like some of that could end up being swept into the driver's face at some point, but that's just me.
Overall, it looks great! and thanks for adding my friend ^^

Although it'd be hard as hell for the guy in the bed to be able to spin that MG around the back-half 180 Degrees without stepping on the driver and passenger.

It's probably not meant to shoot whilst fleeing. Although that could be why the background vehicle seems to mount a second gun?

True enough, good catch on the background image.
