The city was a good replacement for the natural landscape on the left. The expressions of the putti should probably have been left alone, the change muddles the comparison with Michelangelo's piece. As usual, the image is visually impressive, though the detritus around your Adam unnecessarily clutters the image. The absence of the female figure is obvious and certainly emphasizes the "harem" thing; it also does unclutter the image, I suppose. The choice to make the 'cloth' more explicitly anatomical was a good one, since it really heightens the sense of growing materialism in society. But...
Fat = Materialistic, Mindless, etc...
Your work is at its most dull when it returns to this theme. I understand the appeal of using fat as a convenient, socially understood physical distortion to provoke horror, but it's lazy.Β It really doesn't work, either, if the viewer isn't disgusted by fat people.

Positively repulsive... in a good way. The notes make it quite clear what this is about. The 'God bestowing the Divine Spark on his first human creation, Adam' from the Sistine Chapel [recently restored; and I hope they did a good job] is a visual meme or artistic trope that says so much it's now been co-opted by cartoonists, more times than anyone could count, in order to 'say' all sorts of things. The moral fable being illustrated here is like a depiction of Tantalus in the kind of Inferno where, far from going perpetually thirsty and hungry, he is fed to repletion and beyond with the food he so loved in life; poetic justice of a higher order even than that suffered by the original sinner in the ancient Greek myth.
