Based on a mess washed upon a beach. A globsterΒ resulting from a rotting sea creature fished out of the ocean. Some were photographed (if cameras were at hand) and then thrown back in, as the smell was unendurable.Β

That was one sweet little trip. Classic animation's great, and it's even better when it strays into weird territory.

Β I think the meaning here is that we're often scared of things we do not fully understand. They can see an evil creature, but the person pulling the string stays invisible even though their eyes are open.
