Yeah, I have to rethink some of the rules of how he looks...I've decided that putting pricklies on his head and shoulders just looks awkward, and rather than a perfectly round head, hands, and feet, some flattening is necessary...

I really need to look into Toth's work more, I'm really not that familiar with it although many of my favorite cartoonists cite him as an influence.

Well he did create Space Ghost, what else is there to know? 
There is a sudden wave of Toth books coming out in the next year, hopefully we will BOTH get to experience more Tothy goodness soon. There is a great website that has an awesome feature where Toth goes over his own comics and does commentary page by page...I can't find the section on there, but here is one of my favorite Toth stories of all time [link]
