I used to use a separate non-waterproof ink but lately I've just been using the same ink I use for everything: Speedball Superblack.

For the trees? You got a great opaque look and a really sharp edge, I had it figured for market. Well done!
Bonus points for the use of negative space on the edge of the dude's furry leg. Way slick.

thanks, dude! I didn't know you meant the trees! The foliage down there was solid ink that I 'greyed' out in photoshop. It was on a separate layer.

I dunno, now seeing the Jungle i get a better feeling for the setting.
But the final cover stands very well without it, Dave did an awesome job colouring this!
