yes definitely omg there was this tumblr post discussing how angels would've looked like according to each part of the bible and the descriptions were sometimes wildΒ
so i just started drawing with the idea of a creature with a lot of wings and horns that look like a halo are picked up from a different postΒ
everything else was sorta improvised along the wayΒ
i just kept adding things on and idk it made sense
i also wanted to try out some pencil tricks i found on instagram so yeah that's why it ended up like this

this is funny to me since my good friend imagines angels like this too :'3 I mean you and he have basically made the same drawing a year apart :'D though yours are so much more detailed and I love those eyes

true they are not exactly described as the cute, fat babies or the gorgeous men and women we see them as but somebody who can scare the life out of shepherds :'DΒ
I feel like these more realisitc eyes fit the drawing better
