Imagine if one day you brought something online and you heard a knock and you opened it up and it was her with your stuff! And then you give her a muffin and then pet her and hug her for being the cutest mailmare I've ever seen.

That's our sweet and adorable Derpy Hooves, faithfully receiving our mail and sending it in all directions. She frequently crashes but is always on time and dedicated to her appointed rounds. She's so hard-headed she doesn't need a crash helmet. Derp! (6_9)

Yeah, it was cute & fun to see Derpy in her work-uniform again; the rest of the ep was pretty weak, but seeing her, BM & SB all together again in one episode was fun.

If I am not mistaken, Derpy first seen wear this uniform way back the MLP Season 5 finale "To Where and Back Again". This is technically the second occurrence that she saw in an episode wearing this uniform.

To be honest, I don't know exactly about Derpy's background in the show. What I do know is she is already a delivery pony / mailmare from the start. That is her occupation there.

Yes. It was just something the fans made up. Same with her love of muffins. I'd say out of all the background ponies, Derpy is the most influenced by the fandom. She even only had Derpy eyes one time until she got popular. Then they brought them back. :03
