Description
A challenge from my Warhammer 40,000 obsessed brother ~KhodexusWith my recent success at turning "anything" chibi and cute. My older brother became increasingly eager to see me try my hand at drawing one of the most fearsome Tyranid Units in the Warhammer 40k game into a chibi.
So I "Chibi-fied" a "Carnifex". (Which is basically an organic, alien, TANK. ... here is ONE example of a Carnifex - [link] - but they're very customizable.)
Thus the concept of "Chibifex" was born.
This lil' Guy, once I finish coloring him, will be added to my button collection. ^_^
... I added in a Chibi Ripper on the side, ... just 'cause...

It looks kinda like a Squirtle or another Pokemon... It is lovely, don't get me wrong.

did you look at the creature reference I provided? Just wondering. 
It's a little harder for me to see him as a Pokemon, just 'cause the background fluff is so opposite... (cute creature people collect as pets.... massive alien that eats people and destroys buildings and tanks...

Yeah, I play Warhammer- and Tyranids are my worst nightmare. Alien swarms that strip all life from any planet they come across... *shiver*

Heheheh, I love Tyranids. XD they're customizable, awesomely horrific, and everyone else is terrified of the Carnifex when you play.

I would make my whole army concentrate on killing it... Then get slaughtered anyway- I did once fight Wood Elves by hiding in the woods.

my older brothers play Tyrannids and Dark Eldar respectively. My LITTLE brother plays Space Marines, but he doesn't live with us anymore so I haven't had much experience with them to be honest. He was more of a Collector than a player. If ya know what I mean.

and I PERSONALLY really go for the painting aspect a bit more than the in depth army building.... if ya know what I mean.

I think just about anything can be cute..even cockroaches and they are def icky. Nice job there. Looking forward to the colors!

Actually, Janell Cannon Author/Illustrater of Stellaluna and Pinduli has a book called Crickwing about a cockroach. It's cute. She makes beautiful children's books.

I think they look kind of cute as they are actually, they have little eyes and big mouths like an :0 icon.

there, now much less cute. I can't really see it as endearing since I've seen so much of the official artwork. ... That and I know what they're supposed to be able to do. (the whole spewing bio-toxic miasma everywhere they go is kinda off-putting.)

Carnifexes are over 20 feet tall, and weigh several tons, so to it, you're little. They also have claws capable of ripping open any modern day tank like it was a paper box. So to it you're unprotected.
