Name: FelipeOrigin: Brazil
Fighting style: Brazilian Jiu-jitsu
Design notes: Brazilian characters seem to either be jungle beasts or capoeira users, I wanted to create a character who's perhaps a bit more respectful to Brazil as a martial arts nation.ย

Hey jiggeh, Ive been writing storyboards and character backgrounds for a while, I also make music, so let me know if you want any help with this project in terms of atmosphere and world. I love the beat em up genre so much and this looks like it has potential.

It would be so good to see a fighting game character with bjj as their primary style. I can't think of one off the top of my head.... excluding MMA style characters

Yes. It's still a conventional 2D fighter at heart.

Well I haven't really put much work into developing his fighting style, but of course he would be grapple based. I don't think he would be very similar to Goh personality-wise, though.

I figured in a judo or jiu-jitsu bout it's bound to end up like that quickly and then stay that way, so why not?

Good point. I really like the look. Probably the best one, as far as who the most likable and appealing character. I would certainly try him first if his selection screen image conveyed this much personality.

Brazilian Jiu-jitsu is pretty terribly represented in fighting games. Actually I don't think it's represented at all really...
