a mental state hospital
around the time i moved here
was abandoned and we used to climb in
and take furniture and make these fake
living room scenes out in this adjacent empty lot
they stayed there for weeks
and slowly day by day
pieces of furniture would disappear
and then one day
they tore down the abandoned mental hospital
and it stayed an empty huge dead space for a year
or two,
now there is a Wal-Mart there
and i will never ever go there
ever
nice piece above
it speaks of the Industrial Revolution
and thanks for coming by my work
i always appreciate
best from the west

Fantastic mechanistic abstraction, Jill! Wish this was a bit larger in order to appreciate the details.

Its striking . It has a lot depth the more i look at it the more dimensions it takes on.

very cool, love the techno feel. At first I thought it was a sculpture. This would look interesting in 3 dimensions

Thank you. I think I have a couple of pieces that might be good templates for metal sculpture. Of course, that would entail know how to use a blow torch without hurting myself or anything else! LOL Thanks again and you did put a smile on my face

I had a friend some years ago that indeed had a blow torch and metal working set up in his garage. I was always envious. but I stick to my paint brushes. An expensive proposition to set up at ones home to create art.
