Description Two Daleks stop for a chat in a rather curvy underground tunnel.

The Daleks have a new 'chipped paint' finish that I'm experimenting with, so you can see the old sixties silver/blue colours peeking out through chips in the eighties grey/black paint scheme.

Rendered using POV-Ray 3.6 on 13/08/2011.

Isn't that one of the underground tunnels from The Sun Makers?

They look like they're on a ship.

The scenery was modelled from photographs of underground tunnels, but the result could as easily be a ship. I am happy for people to choose the interpretation that best suits them.

It looks like a naval ship like HMS Bulwark or Albion.

Ooh! I like this Jim! Very Nice Classic/RTD Hybrids too! They've definatley got a punch to them

The corridor looks like it might have been painful to do though. How long did it take?

It took about a week to build the corridor, of which maybe a bit more than half the time was spent on the walls and the rest on the pipes. It wasn't as difficult as it probably looks; POV-Ray models are built using a scripting language rather than a GUI, so I just had to write code blocks for a single wall brick and a single length of pipe, and then them them in loops to generate the complete wall and pipes. Some trigonometry was needed to make sure each brick was the right shape to give the corridor a nice smooth curve, but it wasn't too hard. I'm glad you like the result.
