So I just played through Sonic Forces which was MUCH SHORTER than I expected (and this includes the Shadow Episode, which while more fun than the Main Game, seemed to end ABRUPTLY for some reason)

I don't Hate Sonic Forces, but I can see why some people would consider it Disappointing. Like I said, the game was short. I beat it in two sittings. But there was a LONG GAP Between those two sittings! (As in... I beat ALL OF CUPHEAD again on EXPERT in that amount of time Among OTHER Things...) And I think the reason for that is Not because it was horrible, but because it didn't exactly have that magical feeling that Sonic Mania had. (Granted, if I was able to play the game on my Computer instead of my brother's PS4, I probably would've beaten it faster since I use the computer more often... But I DID Originally play Sonic Mania on the PS4 as well, and there Hardly any Gaps between the sessions of Playtime THERE!)

And this isn't the first time this happened to me either. A while ago, I got Yoshi's Island for the 3DS, but Randomly stopped because (with apologies to Yoshi's Island 3DS fans) I just got bored with the game, yet when I played the one for the Game Boy Advance, I wouldn't put it down until I got 100% on ALL The Levels INCLUDING The Bonus and Extra Stages! And I have NO IDEA Why I prefer the Original over the 3DS one, because that one is basically the same game I used to love, just with different Level Designs (perhaps the invincibility feather is too tempting for me) I might try 3DS Yoshi again one day, but for now I'm interested in other things.

BACK TO SONIC FORCES. I think the reason people dislike this game is because it made them realize they're tired of the "Boost Formula" as its called, among Other Cliches in the series. I can't really Argue with this... I always considered the "Boost Gameplay" to be a One-Trick-Pony. It was the Best Part of Sonic Unleashed (Like or Hate the Werehog Stages) It was even Better Executed in Sonic Colors, and Sonic Generations tried to expand on it a little, but Now I'd say it's getting OLD by this point, and I think it's time for the 3D Sonic Games to start doing something else.

So in the End, there's a lesson to be learned here: Always strive to be fun, don't just settle for being Passable. But I don't wanna end this on a Pessimistic Note, so I will say that the Water-Slide stages in this game were Easily the BEST PART!
