ouuu ummm well it depends. i can finish the whole thing under 30 min but thats if i found the right pose.... if not then im scrambling through thumbnails for hours lol i have a library of thumbnails scattered all over my room hahah but once i find the pose i want its just a matter of blowing it up to a larger scale, refining and tweaking the pose and then cleaning it up. cleaning up digitally is easier for me than pencil. if i were to clean it up in pencil it would take a couple of hours.

Ya same here! I always love to see the end result but I always learned more from the roughs that had the gesture stuck somewhere in there!

I couldn't agree more. There is an aesthetics to the roughs as well that I enjoy, that gets lost in the final version as well. Some of my favorite pieces of art are those that just color over a really well done rough and let all the extra details add to the piece rather than pull away from it.
