Description Totally wasted on rum filled Danish butterhorns, Prof. Anton Veeblefitzer, genius aircraft designer, in many alternate universes, whipped up this puppy, for the German Kriegsmarine.
Pictured is the prototype Ve-181 "Narwhal" seaplane torpedo bomber/bomber/long range recon' aircraft.
A very robust design, combining aspects inspired by the Heinkel 111 Luftwaffe bomber, i.e. the nose and fuselage, and Prof. Horten's flying wing designs, with Blohm and Voss flying boat hull and wing pontoons, Prof. Veeblefitzer's new craft showed much promise to becoming an effective combat machine.
Powered with two Junkers Jumo 004 turbo jets, the prototype, completed in November of 1942, was capable of nearly reaching 400 mph.
But Prof. Veeblefitzer saw a problem.Β  When the prototype was fully loaded, with twin torpedoes, or bombs, plus full fuel tanks, it could barely
top 330 mph, making it vulnerable to enemy fighters.
Prof. Veeblefitzer's solution was to add two additional Jumo jet motors to increase performance (see following design, soon to be posted).
Only 3 crew members were necessary to deploy the craft, as it had many advanced automatic functions, eliminating the need for a large crew.
There was the pilot, and the copilot/bombardier/nose gunner and the flight engineer/radio operator/top turret gunner/navigator.
The prototype featured only two 20 mm cannon for defensive armament, as it was anticipated that production aircraft would not need extra guns, due to expected increase in speed and altitude performance with the planned 4 Jumo jet motored version.
The prototype was nicknamed the "Purple Monster" by the test crews.Β  A name which Prof. Veeblefitzer found offensive.

It is very good with high speed, but at the torpedo attack it is necessary to lower the speed. Otherwise the torpedo will smash when it hits the water at such high speed.

Retractable main float to stream line the airodynamics some more. Those 'Hinge down' wing tip floats you had on another image some time previously. Still needs a few more crew to carry the work load over a long mission.

Beautiful rendition. Commision stuff coming soon, promise.

Cheers.

Ow i see what you did there (i think?), but anywho it's good to be still here FOR NOW!!! ( So it's seems we won...kinda - artical 13 UPDATEHey folks, so um...heres that thing that when down, the final vote for artical 13...has been cancelled and moved to another day (if anyone who is reading this knows the date of set vote, please leave a comment and i'll credit you in my next journal entry about set vote) and boy let me tell ya folks am feeling a little pissed about this.
Who so you may ask? Well all i have to say is this old saying that goes "uncertainty is worse than actual certainty", i mean seriously i would much like to know what kind of situation we are going to be in, instead of being keeped in the fucking dark about it. (like Jesus fucking Christ EU what the hell are ya doing, are ya trying to give me a heart attack, cause guess what? IT'S FUCKING WORKING, YOU MOTHERFUCKERS!!! Am sorry about this rage, but folks i am starting to crack my self to bits, thanks to all of this uncertainty)
But even with that, i guess i should be happy that we are giving more of a time to make are voices even louder then we did before shameless self-promotion activity *BOOB*)

Hey big friend!
I'm learning how to use GIMP.
And of course I'm stumbling around like a beginner will.
How do I export, or send an image from GIMP, back to Windows Paint?
I've figured out how to send an image from Paint to GIMP, but am having trouble doing the reverse.
If you can help me, I'll reward you with a freebie commission!

I like this. You know the more I look at these designs, the more my mind starts dissecting them and seeing how I could cannibalize my kits and make one of these.

Decades ago, I used to build plastic kits, and thought of altering them into something that never existed, but if it had, it might work.
I'd love to see one of Prof. Veeb's designs as a scale model.
Get a sheet of foam core board, from any art store, and with a no. 11 razor blade, cut out a simple profile design.Β  It's cheap, and fast.Β  I've done that, and at arms length, they look cool!
Happy 2019!
