Description Another late-war example of Prof. Anton Veeblefitzer's unique genius, and manic-obsessiveness with unorthodox aircraft designs.
Built in competition to the Dornier D0-335 "Arrow" fighter-bomber, the Ve-387 Stagger Jeager used the same motors as the Do-335. But instead of adopting a straight-line fuselage, Prof. Veeblefitzer divided the fuselage into two lobes, with the motors placed at each end, with the wings positioned at the center of each lobe.  This created a unique "stagger-wing" profile that appeared to be absurd upon initial viewing.
This odd design created a completely new approach to maneuvering an aircraft in combat.
A skilled pilot, when attacked from behind by an enemy fighter, could chop the throttle on the aft motor, and increase power on the forward motor, and then pulling hard-right on the control stick, could pivot the big craft around in a 180 degree turn, that was inside the turning radius of the British Spitfire(!!!).
The attacking fighter would suddenly find itself confronted with the deadly "business-end" of the Stagger Jeager, head-on!
By reversing the throttle sequence, a hard left-turn could be accomplished, with equally deadly results for any attacker.
The craft was armed with 6 x 30mm "Teutonic Mother Appreciator" auto-cannon, with 115 rpg.  Four weapons were wing mounted, with two weapons mounted in the front of the right-hand fuselage lobe.
This gave the craft unprecedented fire-power, superior to the Me-262 and the Do-335.
Being a "tailless design", directional stability was generated by the two counter-rotating propellers. Unfortunately, if one motor conked-out, the craft became unmanageable and the pilot was forced to bail-out.
The Stagger Jeager  proved to be a major threat to the evil Anglo-Western-Imperial Empire air forces, and in this Alt-Universe, the Central European Powers Alliance, which were NOT fascist and genocidal, were able to defeat the enemy, and save classic Platonic-Christian Civilization, and to create a new "Golden Renaissance" of art and science and culture.
And that's the truth! Pl-pl-pl-pl!

me : WTF

*look at the dispositions of wings and rotors*

also me: WTF it can work

Hi!
The machine would need a gyroscopic stabilizer to control flight at low speeds.
The pilot would be very busy managing this one.

There was a german airplane with a weird design, but I forgot it's name...

I think that this plane would be able to fly without any issue.  Even though the wings are staggered, that shouldn't hinder the performance.

And I thought the BV 111 was a bizarre design for a plane.

This may be the most creative and also insane design of all time!

I love it!

I don't think I'd fly in it, but for sure, being on this guy's 'six' is just as dangerous as being any-where else in the sky! Beautiful artwork, lovely weathering and livery too.

Nahhhh!
I've a Phd in Applied Aeronautical Physics, from the Boeing University Senior College.
I also have a Masters in Structural Engineering, from San Diego State University, and their Convair-General Dynamics wing of the university. So...., everything that I say is based upon hard, irrefutable, unchangeable, settled-science!!!
I'm also a senior member of "Architects and Engineers for 9-11 Truth" (visit YouTube), who are rigorously repudiating the "politically correct" line (lie) about what happened on the attack on Sept. 11th, 2001.
I've had the honor of working with "unnamed" scientists involved with reverse-engineering captured alien tech' and applying this technology to oppressing the cow-like masses of humanity, on behalf of the Reptilian members of the British Royal Family, though, I am NOT into the Satanic, pedophilia aspect of the Illuminati, and if I had my way, I'd hang these uber-rich Satanic bastards by their evil gentiles, and use the ancient knowledge of the original human civilizations, before the Ice-Ages, to help develop the human creative potential, to achieve their "Creator-given" organic talents, and potentiality.
OH! Darn!  There's a bunch of "Men-In-Black" with their gleaming dark Hum-vees  swarming onto my lawn!
Time to break out my 20mm Vulcan cannon and spray the bastards!
Happy New Year!
