"When after a long and painful illness death had finally taken her up in his arms, she chose not to move on. She chose to wait. Wait for her husband to pass, as she had loved him so much in life, she could not imagine Heaven without him.

So she walked alone.

Through the halls of her house, where they had spent so many days loving and caring for each other. Through the gardens she had so tenderly maintained, where they often sat on summer's eve's, talking about what the future might hold for them. And through the nursery that was never finished - never had a child play within its walls.

And she watched. She watched from the veil as the years went by. She watched as her husband fell in love once again with another woman, she watched as they got married and she grew pregnant, she watched their children run through the halls of her house, she watched as the children got children of their own. She watched as the lovers entered their twilight years.

His wife passed peacefully in her bed, surrounded by her loved ones. Mere weeks later her husband entered his death bed as well.
Still watching from beyond - even though she was grieving for him - she was looking forward to the moment where she could finally embrace him once again, and they could walk the halls of their house forever in eternity. Years, decades of waiting but she would at last be able to show him her love again.

But as her husband drew his final breath, he did not appear beside her. He was no where to be found in the veil. He had moved on. Without her.

And so she walks alone."
