Ah, no worries! I'm trying to learn as much Spanish as possible before I go...maybe I'll attempt to read Nabokov in Spanish (ATTEMPT being the key word). It's really a shame that Amazon.com won't ship to Argentina.

tell it to me. To read in english it isnt hard. I can understand both. So what about if I help you learning my language? Any doubt ask me. And remember some expressions and words have a different meanning here than in Spain.
Its easy.

I haven't read any of his works, I'm almost ashamed to say I don't think I've even heard of him, sorry.

J/K. Yeah, Nabokov is awesome. I've read Lolita I don't know how many times!

If you haven't read 'King Queen Knave'... DO IT. It's one of his earlier works, later re-edited with the help of his son and republished. Probably his happiest work.

It's about first love, in a way. And of course, all Nabokov's delicious sensory descriptions make it a joy to read.

I love the way he writes. That's why I read Lolita over and over again. I feel something new everytime.

The second time I read it I got the annotated version, which I felt a little silly about but it was great. For understanding the random bits of french, etc, and getting all the little Nabokovian references I would've missed. I never would've known what a spoonerism is, either.
