I'm finally printing this up and inking it. Gonna do it both traditionally and digitally and make a time lapse video of it. You can either have the original inks or we can auction them off. Your call, boss.

For what it's worth, I think that Alan Davis still does an 'old school' Nightcrawler, but with his modern 'snap' to it.

Ed McGuiness kind of does Nightcrawler the original way, where the shadows from his face blend in to his hairline. I've seen a few Nighty pieces on his DA page that look fantastic. Now, you've gotta ink it!

I know you were just joking, but I'll tell you what...I'll draw an old-school Cockrum era Wolverine and Timber Wolf and mail the original to you if you ink it. On top of that, I'll let you keep the original, and you can just send me a scan of the inked piece.

Classic Nightcrawler. Sadly no, I don't think so. David Williams seems to be about as retro as you can get. I miss those styles. Back before every hero did a pint of steroids a day and painted on their costumes. Muscles aren't that defined on anyone, especially with clothes on. Those days were more....playful. Everyone seems to be a dark brooding hero these days. Well, everyone except Deadpool.

Yeah, too many dark and brooding heroes. God forbid a hero have fun being superpowered. I mean how sad would a person really be if they could fly? I would never come down, that's why old school Angel was so cool to me, and Nightcrawler as well. Always optimistic, hopeful. It just feels like the dark/angry hero personality is easy mode for adding character depth. Like the change they made to Starfire. She was so interesting. An empowered, sexually liberated, and she had been through hell. It made her stronger. Now she's...well lets just say the only part of those two compliments to remain is the sex part, not liberated, just the sex.
