Phew, okay. This one took a fair while. I've been working on it for a couple of days now.

Anyways. This is my second entry into *sammykaye1 's Urban Legends Contest.

And my first entry into *Lisajen-stock 's Urban Legends contest.

And now that all that formality is out of the way. Here's the story:

In 1942 Ward 5 of the Seacliff Lunatic Asylum caught on fire. Trapped inside were 39 female mental patients. All locked in rooms which could only be opened with a key. The women perished. Burned alive in their rooms. The Asylum ward was closed down. And even now it's said you can hear the scream of the trapped women, or the smell of burning flesh, ghostly moans and phantom flames. Most people stay away from the Seacliff Lunatic Asylum.. It's safer that way. Because often people go in.. But they don't always come out.
