Description
A passing specter and a vision of a ghost breathing in the next room over, behind the wallpaper and under the normal words.She's either an angel or a ghost, or perhaps it's the new Alice who fell through the wrong rabbit hole, and now is wandering around
nowhere. This is a violation of the rules. this should not be occuring.....
When people ask where we met.. Alice and i? I always tell them i was headed home from Pete's Bowl-O-Rama, just off Carrol Street.
and i heard someone whistling in the dark. Of course in a big bad place like Nowhere i HAD to know who she was.... I haven't worked up the nerve to ask her to my Tea Party. i hate being turned down.

The halo around her head and the misting effects are wonderful. There's a feel to it-- you never miss a beat with the way you move the feeling of a piece from simple things to the most profound. I can so rarely find words for the feelings elicited in me because of your work. Certainly, I'm wandering down a darkened alley, somewhere in that town now...my mind takes me places-- your work takes me places...

This is another of what I like to call a "classic manip" by you. I really love the colors and textures here. The model has a nice subdued yet intrigued/uneasy look on her face.

the rings of symbols are gorgeous.......the way you have elongated her form at the bottom is fantastic. it really lends to the eerie feelings the entire work produces.

it's from a manuscript i copied a long time ago, while in school.. while researching the voynich manuscripts.... i photocopied about 200 pages ( yay for student prices, and ancient photocopiers ^^) of text.. and it sat for a few years on a shelf.. i was cleaning the other week, and looked through it again.. and all the pages have gotten all ugly, and the ink has deteriorated already.. so i started scanning them to archive them safely, and realized...oooooo.. this would be perfect....
neat thing about the manuscript is it was discovered , and noone knows when it was actually written, or what it means.. noone's ever deciphered the pictures, and writings.. it may be an alchemist's diary, or it may be a ficticious account.... it's only known to be several hundred years old.. other than that.. noone knows ^^

and the magicky stuff ^^.. i used it in that other piece too.....*realized i shouldn't have scrapped it, and will leave it awhile longer for you*.. but this time i wanted it to be sort of halo-y too.... perhaps i should tell where i got it from...but some books were never meant to be seen *insert vincent-y laugh here*

very darkly etherial. I think you could do something to the face to make it match the more washed out atmosphere around it.. or add darkness around the eyes or something to make it seem not so perfect. Unless that's your intention.

nope ^^.. it was the intention.. i'm finally able to say that ^^.. i've reached a point where what's happening is no longer accidental, or unintentional ( though i do like when it happens ^^ )..guess this means i need to find a new medium.. i'm an experimental traditional artist.. and suddenly not finding new stuff..... is ....troubling... but, your thought was considered ^^ i thought about changing the skin tone, or layering them.. but i dig the 1/2 there. 1/2 not ^^
